<p>Dear Postdocs, Ph.D. students and fixed-term scientists,<br>
<br>
we would like to offer you the opportunity to actively take part
in the future of the `young high-energy physicists association'
(yHEP). <strong> yHEP</strong> <strong>was founded with the goal
to represent the interests of postdocs, Ph.D. students and
fixed-term scientists in the fields of particle, astroparticle,
hadron, nuclear and accelerator physics.</strong> The foundation
phase ended in November 2016 with the election of a management
board, currently we are counting more than 220 members. We are
aiming at bundling concerns and interests of young scientists in
order to represent them in a concerted manner. <br>
<strong><br>
</strong><strong> More information about yHEP is available at</strong><br>
yhep.desy.de<br>
The membership is free of charge and attainable via subscription
of our mailing list. You can subscribe directly to our list here:<br>

<br>
We represent our interests at various committees and authorities,
e.g. at the KET (<a class="ox-231a0afd63-moz-txt-link-abbreviated"
href="http://www.ketweb.de">www.ketweb.de</a>) and the KAT (<a
class="ox-231a0afd63-moz-txt-link-abbreviated"
href="http://www.astroteilchenphysik.de">www.astroteilchenphysik.de</a>).
A representative from the yHEP management board is invited as
guest at their meetings. We hope to achieve a similar situation
with KHuK and KfB in order to improve the communication between
the committees and the young scientists. <br>
<br>
Following the foundation, we will hold the first<strong> annual
meeting of the yHEP association</strong>, which will take place
at the <strong>DPG-Frühjahrstagung in M</strong><strong><strong>ü</strong>nster</strong>.
The annual meeting provides the opportunity to gather members and
those that care about the interests of young scientists. We invite
you to share your opinions and ideas. Also non-members are welcome
to join. <strong>The meeting takes place on Tuesday evening (28.
March 2017) in seminar room S1 in the M</strong><strong><strong>ü</strong>nster
castle. The meeting starts at 19h.</strong><br>
<br>
After subscription, you can post questions to our mailing list, or
you might want to contact the management board via<br>

<br>
As the institute's mailing lists might not be up-to-date, please
forward this email to other postdocs, Ph.D. students and
fixed-term scientists in your group. <br>
<br>
With best regards,<br>
Michael, Alexander, Philipp and Hendrik</p>
