[Support-lattice2022] Support statement for R Mukherjee

Dear Lattice2022 organisers

Our student Rajnandini Mukherjee has applied for a reduced conference 
fee at this year's Lattice symposium (see below).

Raj intends to make a presentation on K-pi scattering at physical pion 
mass, and is working more generally on scattering and decays with 
unstable final-state particles. She is also analysing data for 
non-perturbative renormalisation of 4-quark operators for neutral meson 
mixing. Attending and presenting at the conference would be very 
beneficial to Raj at this stage of her PhD. She is both capable and 
outgoing and would be sure to make excellent use of the opportunities 
presented by attendance, especially interacting with others in our 
community following two years of social-distancing and travel restrictions.

I’m a second year PhD student in the lattice group at the University of 
Southampton and am interested in taking part in this year’s Lattice 
Conference in Bonn. It would be a great opportunity for me to get to 
meet other members of our lattice community and find out about their 
research. I also wish present my ongoing study on kaon-pion scattering 
at physical pion mass at the conference.

I am thus writing in hope to be considered for the reduced fee 
registration, as I’m bounded by my limited research and travel allowance 
from the university. My supervisor is Prof Jonathan Flynn and I have 
requested him to send a statement in support of my application.
