Dear Lattice 2022 Organizing Committee,
I am the supervisor of the Ph.D. student Antonio Smecca, who is applying
for the reduced conference fee to attend the Lattice 2022 conference.
Antonio would like to attend this conference to present a talk based on our
recent work arXiv:2203.11762 [hep-lat] (which is currently under revision
for publication in JHEP), in which he has been the leading author. In
addition, Antonio has already published two other articles in JHEP during
his Ph.D., and is one of the strongest Ph.D. students in our Department
since the past few years. Finally, I would also like to add that he has
excellent presentation skills.
I kindly ask you to accept his application for the reduced conference fee
and to accept his proposed parallel talk on this topic, since he deserves
presenting this work to the audience of Lattice 2022, in particular because
the conference takes place just a few months before the period when he will
apply for a postdoctoral position.
I thank you very much for your consideration.
Sincerely,

   Marco Panero
   Associate Professor
Department of Physics, University of Turin
   I-10125 Turin, Italy
