[Support-lattice2022] Statement in favour of financial support for Justus Kuhlmann

Dear organisers of Lattice 2022, dear colleagues,

I would like to recommend Justus Kuhlmann for consideration to be
granted financial support for "Lattice 2022".

Justus Kuhlmann is a very promising MSc student in my group, who is
working on a non-perturbative determination of improvement
coefficients and renormalisation factors for a variant of the
Wilson-clover lattice action, employing a so-called exponentially
stabilised clover term. His work is very well progressing.
He has recently completed his master's thesis and is currently in
transition to continue his research on this topic as part of a later
PhD thesis. Hence, Justus would like to participate in this year's
Lattice Conference and to get the chance to present our work in a
poster/talk (tentative title: "On the determination of improvement 
and renormalisation constants for Wilson fermions with exponential 
clover term"), for the first time at such an occasion.

In this way he will gain experience in presenting and discussing own
research work at an international meeting in the inspiring atmosphere
of Lattice Conferences, even more so, as it can take place in-person
again. Moreover, attending such a renowned conference will offer him
the opportunity to get deeper insights into and learn more about
lattice field theory and related areas. Therefore, given the somewhat
limited budget of our institute in case of students at the transition
between MSc and PhD phases, I strongly support Justus' application
for financial support and would appreciate your help very much.
